Watch this if you liked: “A Walk Among the Tombstones”, the “Taken” series

The Good, the Bad and the Taken:

• Without anyone to save, the race against time doesn't really play into the movie's plot anymore. It makes the movie less nerve-wrecking to watch, which is not necessarily good for a target audience who actually wants to be sitting on the edge of their seats.

• At some point, the movie feels more like a family drama with some violent scenes thrown in here and there.

• Liam Neeson still looks as formidable as he did in the first "Taken" movie. However, now he also seems like he just wants to get things done and move on. Maggie Grace's performance as Kim shows no improvement from previous movies and Sam Spruel seems to only shine in action scenes.

Trivia:

• In 2008's "Taken", Bryan Mills lays out his plan over the phone to the kidnappers, to which they replied "Good luck". In "Taken 3", the roles are interestingly reversed when Frank Dotzler tells Mills about his plan, to which Mills replies, "Good luck".
