The Good, the Bad and the Nature Saviour:

"Tombiruo: Penunggu Rimba" movie managed to fulfil the expectations of loyal fans by delivering a strong and satisfying plot coupled with great action sequences from the actors.

Adapting a novel into a film is not an easy task as the scriptwriter needs to carefully select portions that need to be omitted and materials that need to be highlighted without disturbing the flow of the story as not everything can be included in a 90 minutes film.

To be honest, the action element in this film is very different from many local action films especially in terms of quality and execution. It is almost as good as international films, and this is all thanks to director Seth Larney.

"Tombiruo" has definitely set a new milestone in the local film industry not only due to its top-notch action and acting, but also its amazing use of props and brilliant cinematography skills. The film can be a great example to many future local films to come.

Zul Ariffin sets a new record for himself in this film. The good-looking actor has always been good at acting which is why he always landed himself in lead roles.

But for this role, it is totally different as the actor has very few dialogues, and cannot rely on his good looks or facial expressions to convey messages. Thus, the only thing he can rely on is his body language, and thankfully, he also did a great job with that.

Trivia

• Director Seth Larney was previously involved in Hollywood blockbusters like "The Matrix Reloaded", "The Matrix Revolutions", "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith", "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", "The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and "Superman Returns".
