The Good, the Bad and the Resistance Movement:

• Like many of Ann Hui's films which highlights the social issues in Hong Kong, this film concerns the value of artists and intellectuals, and the importance of protecting them.

• The movie reveals a little-known chapter in Hong Kong's wartime history, offering a unique perspective on the war most commonly portrayed in film.

• The movie reaffirms Hui's status as one of China's cinematic treasures.

• Lead by award-winning actress Zhou Xun, Hui makes the most of her cast as the film is marked by strong performances from other award-winning cast including Eddie Peng, Wallace Huo, Tony Leung and more.
