Set in 2003, during the time when American and British politicians are planning to invade Iraq. When GCHQ translator Katharine Gun learns of a classified email from America urging Britain to spy on U.N. Security Council members to force through the resolution to invade Iraq, she decides to leak it to the press. Now, facing imprisonment as she is charged with breaking the Official Secrets Act, she and her lawyers set out to defend her.
