As the newly appointed headmistress of a struggling government school in a Tamil Nadu village, Geetha Rani is determined to try and improve the school`s standards of education for the students. She changes the rules and regulations, and even strives to renew the bond between the school and alumni, as well as the parents. This incurs the wrath of the correspondent of a private school, who is doing whatever it takes to hinder her development practices, including getting her imprisoned.
