The live-action characters of "The Lion King" come to life in new posters

Hakuna matata~ The live-action adaptation of "The Lion King" probably really doesn't have anything to worry about if the character designs are anything to go by. These 11 newly dropped posters reveal realistic characters that will give not only give a touch of authenticity to the movie but also a whole new level of immersion for audiences. Scroll through the gallery below to see them all! Note that the posters below bear the US release date. Over on this side of the world, we're catching "The Lion King" in cinemas this 18 July.


Young Nala is voiced by Shahadi Wright Joseph, who also voices the
young version of Nala in the Broadway production.

JD McCrary voices young Simba, who is raised by Timon and Pumbaa after he ran away from home.

And here's Timon! A wise-cracking meerkat voiced by Billy Eichner.
