2 May - Last year, "Crazy Rich Asians" helmer Jon M. Chu announced that he was going to make a non-whitewashed big screen adaptation of the Thai cave rescue mission that gained international recognition due to widespread media coverage. Things had been on silent on that front for a while but according to TheWrap, there's finally a new update: "Bad Genius" director Nattawut Poonpiriya is teaming up with Chu for it. Looks like the adaptation now has its touch of authenticity, because as Chu said in a statement, the Thai filmmaker understands "the nuances and details of the local community in which this story unfolds."
