12 Jul - "Inside Out 2" is now the biggest Pixar movie of all time, as it surpasses the record previously held by "The Incredibles 2".

The movie has now made USD 1.25 billion at the box office, is currently the fifth highest grossing animated film of all time, behind Disney's "Frozen" at USD 1.28 billion.


It is noted that the movie is still screening in cinemas worldwide and has yet to open in Japan, which means it has the opportunity to surpass "Frozen" and the other films to reach number one.

The highest grossing animated film is still the 2019 "The Lion King", which made USD 1.6 billion at the box office, followed by "Frozen II" and "The Super Mario Bros. Movie".

Meanwhile, the animated feature is now the 23rd highest grossing movie of all time behind "Beauty and the Beast".
