"Dune 3" looking for Robert Pattinson as main villain?

10 Apr - It was reported that Robert Pattinson is being eyed for a villain role in the upcoming third "Dune" movie.

Sources are saying that there has been talks about casting Pattinson, though no formal offer has been made to the actor nor have they revealed what type of character he might be playing.

It is noted that Denis Villeneuve is currently working on the last bits of the script for the third film, which will be adapted from Frank Herbert's "Dune Messiah".

However, many are speculating that the makers are eyeing Pattinson for the role of Scytale, the main villain of Messiah and one of the ringleaders of a plot to overthrow Paul Atreides.

Pattinson was last seen in the Bong Joon-ho film, "Mickey 17". He is currently filming Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey".
