Nicola Peltz leads "Transformers"


Nicola Peltz to take the female lead in "Transformers 4".

28 Mar – Controversial director Michael Bay has already found his Megan Fox for his upcoming "Transformers" film, Nicola Peltz, who was recently confirmed to be the new female lead alongside Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor.

Peltz will play Wahlberg's daughter, and Irish newcomer Jack Reynor will play her boyfriend. The film will take place after "Transformers: Dark Of The Moon", with humanity picking up the pieces following the devastating battles.

Peltz is a teen actress who previously starred in M. Night Shyamalan's disappointing "The Last Airbender" as Katara and appeared in Miley Cyrus's "7 Things" video. Snagging a role in the new "Transformers" film might be her boost to stardom.

"The new film is not a reboot," says director Michael Bay about the film, "This "Transformers" will feel very different than the last three. We are embarking on a new trilogy."

"Transformers 4" will begin shooting this year for a 27 June 2014 release.
